1. Enjoy Niagara Falls Waterfalls

 

 

Niagara Falls waterfalls consist of 3 beautiful waterfalls. The largest is the Horseshoe Falls which is also known as the Canadian Falls, the second largest is the American Falls which has a great view from the Canadian side, and the smallest is the Bridal Veil Falls which is right next to the American Falls. These waterfalls are truly breathtaking to see all year round. In the winter the still water freezes over while the moving water flows over, it is an amazing sight to see.

2. Niagara Hornblower Cruise

 

 

Formerly the Maid Of The Mist the Hornblower is a boat that takes you right up to the waterfalls and lets you take in the view from the bottom. It is definitely worth taking a ride on the Hornblower when visiting Niagara Falls. The ride last about 15-20 minutes and you do get wet from the mist but they do hand out ponchos before you board the boat. The cruise runs all day long and there are many different slot times to choose from. There is also an option for the fireworks cruise which is just before 10 PM where you get to enjoy the fireworks show from the bottom of the falls.

3. Journey Behind The Falls

 

 

The Journey Behind The Falls is another great way to experience the waterfalls from 13 stories below. There are caves and tunnels that take you behind and beside the Horseshoe Falls for a breathtaking view. To get to Journey Behind The Falls head to the Table Rock Welcome Centre.

4. Wildplay MistRider Zipline

 

 

Enjoy a ride on the Zipline while in Niagara Falls. This zipline has great views of all the falls and is definitely an amazing experience.

5. Niagara Helicopter Tour

 

 

Another great way to experience the falls from above is enjoying a scenic Helicopter Tour over Niagara Falls. The helicopter will take you over the Niagara Gorge and the Niagara River and then back over the falls. From this birdseye view, you can even see the Toronto skyline on a clear sunny day.

It has shops, karaoke bars, candy shops, haunted houses, restaurants, arcades, 4D theatres, mini roller coasters, Go Karts, mini put courses, laser tag, ice cream shops, coffee shops, and so much more. Enjoy a ride up the Skylon Tower where you can see views of the Fallsview end of the city and also see the falls from another perspective. There is a wonderful restaurant at the top of the tower where you can enjoy a nice lunch or dinner.

Niagara Falls is also famous for its casinos. There is Casino Niagara which is strictly a casino and is located on Falls Avenue closer to Clifton Hill. Then there is the Fallsview Casino Resort which is the newer casino and is located on Fallsview Blvd. The Fallsview Casino Resort is much more than just a casino, it also has a Galleria area with restaurants, bars, boutique shops, a wine rack, The Avalon Theatre, and a food court. The resort also has a luxurious hotel and spa as well.

10. Rainbow Bridge

 

 

The Rainbow Bridge is an international bridge located right in the center of Niagara Falls. It connects Ontario, Canada to New York State, America. You can cross this bridge to head into Canada or America by car or on foot. Many like to cross the bridge by foot because it allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of all the falls and allows you to get some amazing photos. To cross the Rainbow Bridge to either country you need to have a valid passport.

Queen Victoria Park is the main park in the Niagara Falls area near the waterfalls. This park has walkways, benches, beautiful landscaping, and more. During the winter holidays, there is a light show set up all along the Niagara Parkway in Queen Victoria Park that stretches right to Dufferin Islands where it continues. Dufferin Islands is a cluster of man-made islands just off of the Niagara Parkway. and it has walking trails and is a quiet little secluded area where many come to relax, go for a walk, and enjoy a picnic.

The fireworks go off at 10 PM every night throughout the summer and then Friday and Saturday Nights afterwards. The Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory has over 2000 beautiful, bold, and vibrant colored butterflies inside. The Bird Kingdom is an aviary in Niagara Falls. It is one of the largest free-flying indoor aviaries in the world. Some animals inside the Bird Kingdom are snakes, bearded dragons, turtles, parrots, and more.

15. Whirlpool Jet Boats

 

 

The Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours are super fun and a great way to experience the whirlpools along the Niagara River and the Niagara Gorge. You can choose if you want a dry tour or a wet tour. Both are super fun. The tours are about 45 minutes long.

16. Whirpool Aero Car

 

 

The Whirpool Aero Car is another unique thing to do in Niagara Falls Canada. This is a cable car that connects to two points of shore both being on the Canadian side. It hangs over the Niagara River and the Niagara Whirpool offering a great birdseye view of the whirpool area. The ride is approximately 10 minutes long.

The Whirlpool adventure Course is super cool. It is a rope course that is fun for all ages, children and adults. You go through suspended obstacles, free jumps, zip lines, and games in the air. It is located right next to the whirpools.

Enjoy a beautiful hike along the Niagara River in the Gorge. This hiking path takes you all the way to the bottom of the river and is absolutely beautiful. You can even see the Whirpool Jet Boats driving along the river sometimes.

Queenston Heights is a large park and conservation area on the Niagara escarpment towards Niagara-On-The-Lake. The park has large covered seating areas, tennis courts, lots of hiking trails, and lots of forests. There is also the Sir Isaac Brock monument, and the park is known for being the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights during the War of 1812.

Niagara-On-The-Lake is a must-see little town just outside of Niagara Falls. It lies right on the shore of Lake Ontario and off the Niagara River. Niagara-On-The-Lake is known for its summer Shaw Festival and also known as wine country with wineries at every corner and lots of amazing restaurants around too. Queen Street is the main street in this little town and it has cute little boutiques to visit, famous ice cream and gelato shops, restaurants, and amazing flower displays all over. 21. Wine Tours

 

 

Wine Tours are very popular in this region. There are so many different wineries to try. You could do wine tours on your own, you could hire a tour company to take you around for the day, or you could even rent bikes and ride around the different wineries. There are lots of wineries around Niagara-On-The-lake including Jackson Triggs, Peller Estates, Pondview, Henry Of Pelham, Ravine Vineyard, and many many more. The most popular wineries are Wayne Gretzky and Trius.

Wayne Gretzky has a great atmosphere. During the winters they have an outdoor skating rink where to can rent skates and enjoy wine on their heated patio. In the summer they have a whole restaurant area by a pond where you can enjoy food and drinks and on the other side of the little pond, they have a Beer Garden where you can enjoy more snacks and drinks. There is also a bocce ball court, pool table, and cornhole area to keep you entertained.

Trius is right next to Wayne Gretzky and it also has a great restaurant and outdoor bar area with great views. Trius is known for being the most picturesque winery with flower walls and many other things for you to take pictures with.

Where To Stay In Niagara Falls Canada

 

There are so many great places to stay when in Niagara Falls Canada. The most popular place is the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel. This hotel is located right at the bottom of Clifton Hill, and has the best views of the falls and is also a great place to watch the fireworks show at night.

Another great hotel to stay at is the Hilton Niagara Falls/ Fallsview Hotel and Suites. This hotel is located on the Fallsview side of the tourist area and is located directly across from the Fallsview Casino. The Hilton Hotel has some restaurants like Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse and Corso Italian Eatery inside which are very popular, and also has Spice Lounge where they are known for their amazing drinks.

Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa is another great hotel to stay at. It is in a central location and has great views of the falls as well.

If you are traveling with kids the Great Wolf Lodge Waterpark Resort is definitely the best place to stay. When you buy rooms here you get automatic admission into the waterpark. The waterpark is great for all ages and has so many things to do. There is a mini golf course and a beautiful spa as well. It is also just a short ride to the tourist area and Clifton Hill.

A great luxury hotel to stay at while in Niagara Falls is Sterling Inn & Spa. This luxury hotel is amazing. They offer breakfast in bed, they have the AG restaurant located on the bottom floor and the food and drinks here are amazing. The rooms have beautiful jacuzzi tubs, some rooms have a seating area and a fireplace. It is also walking distance to the falls and Clifton Hill.
