These are the best months for more of a tropical vacation, but also lots of tourists visit this time of year.
If you are looking to go during more of an off-season where it’s not as busy then you would want to go between September to November. This time of year there are fewer tourists and the weather is still warm enough that you can still enjoy the beach.

Start day 3 of your Barcelona 5-day itinerary by exploring the Montjuic Hill area. You have to climb to the top of Montjuic Hill either by walking, by car, or the best option by cable car. At the top, you will see the panoramic views of Barcelona and the water, the beaches, and the ports, it is just absolutely breathtaking. Along with the stunning views of Barcelona be sure to visit the Montjuic Castle and learn about all its history, also the castle has an amazing viewpoint where you can see Barcelona from above. Also, enjoy nature and the beautiful gardens.
The National Art Museum of Catalonia is also another must-see attraction while visiting Barcelona. Spend the afternoon here exploring the largest collection of Catalan art in the world. For a relaxing evening head to Poble Sec which is a great neighborhood in Barcelona with an excellent food scene. This area has lots of restaurant terraces all along the streets. Grab some drinks and famous tapas at one of these terraces and enjoy the atmosphere.
The perfect way to start day 4 of your Barcelona 5-day itinerary is by heading down to Barcelona Beach and enjoying the beautiful boardwalk, the soft sand, and the warm and refreshing water. Along the beach, there are lots of restaurants and places to grab a cold drink and enjoy the beach.
After relaxing at the Barcelona Beach head to Port Vell. Port Vell is a waterfront harbor that has a shopping center, little restaurants, and ice cream shops, and also has the amazing Barcelona Aquarium. The Barcelona Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums of its kind in the world and has a shark tunnel, 35 total aquariums, over 10,000 animals, and around 450 different species of marine life. End day 4 of your Barcelona trip by enjoying an evening indulging in tapas. Tapas are popular in Spain, they are a combination of delicious snacks and appetizers served together. Tapas are normally items like mixed olives, fried baby squid, meatballs, any other seafood, crispy potatoes, dips, and chorizo. But can include many other items as well. Pair a fun drink like sangria with your tapas and relax.
Start your last day of your Barcelona 5-day itinerary by heading out and seeing the one and only Camp Nou. Camp Nou is a football (soccer) stadium that is home to the team FC Barcelona. This is one of the largest football stadiums in all of Spain with a capacity of 100,000 seats. Camp Nou also has a tour option where you and walk through the behind-the-scenes of the stadium like the locker rooms, the interview areas, the actual turf the players play on, and the benches the teams use.
