Day 1 – Exploring The Historic Heart of Istanbul
Hagia Sophia
To start your 3 day Istanbul itinerary head to the Hagia Sophia which is one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. It was originally a church, then eventually turned into a Mosque, then a museum, and now is a Mosque again. The architecture of this building is truly one of a kind with its beautiful mosaics, stunning massive domes, and towers. There is no fee to enter but appropriate clothing should be worn by all. It is best to visit first thing in the morning to avoid large crowds.
Blue Mosque
Right across the street from the Hagia Sophia is the Blue Mosque. The Blue Mosque is a place of worship and is famous for its Iznik blue tiles and grand domes. Day 2 – Discovering the Bosphorus And The Local Neighborhoods
Bosphorus Cruise
Start day 2 of your 3 day Istanbul itinerary by doing a spectacular Bosphorus cruise. This cruise is super unique because you will be cruising between the continents of Europe and Asia. You can choose if you want to do a quick hour-and-a-half cruise or an all-day cruise. I would recommend the hour-and-a-half cruise because you still get to see the stunning skyline of the city and sights like the Dolmabahce Palace, the Rumeli Fortress, and the Bosphorus Bridge. And you still have time to explore the city. There is also an option to do a dinner cruise if you would like to do something out of the ordinary.
Ortakoy
After relaxing and enjoying the Bosphorus cruise head to the Ortakoy district which is known for its amazing waterfront views and views of the Ortakoy Mosque. This is also one of Istanbul’s most picturesque neighborhoods. Explore the lively streets and the exquisite food scene. Try some of the street food including the famous Kumpir which is a stuffed baked potato (tastes amazing). Dolmabahce Palace

Ferry To Kadikoy

Enjoy the 20-minute ride while taking in the European side of Istanbul as you transition to the Asian side of Istanbul.
