Bali, Indonesia is a tropical island with warm weather, it has mainly two seasons, the wet season and the dry season. The wet season is from November to March, this season is very rainy and gloomy most of the time. The dry season is April to September, this season has the perfect warm weather ideal for exploring the island.

Bali is a popular tourist destination therefore it is most busy with tourists in July and August. The perfect time to go would be just before the summer months so in June, or just after the summer months in September.

This wonderful island has many mountains, volcanos, beaches, and rainforests making it best to enjoy during the dry season.

Entry Requirements For Bali, Indonesia

Bali, Indonesia does require a visa upon entry. There are a few ways to get a visa: Visa On Arrival

The Best Of Bali In 10 Days

Days 1-3: Ubud

Ubud is the most cultural authentic hub in Bali. See what the Balinese culture is all about while visiting Ubud. There is so much to do and see in this town like yoga retreats, exploring the jungles, seeing the temples, enjoying the waterfalls, and so much more.

Start by checking out the Tegalalang Rice Paddies, these are rice fields that are layered on the side of hills and are very cool to see. Then be sure to check out the Sacred Monkey Forest which is part of the jungle filled with wild monkeys and has old temples and dragon statues.

Enjoy the beautiful Campuhan Ridge Walk, this beautiful walk overlooking the jungle also has the world-famous Bali swing which is a popular place for tourists to take amazing photos.

Ubud is known for its remarkable waterfalls. One of the most popular waterfalls is the Kanto Lampo which is layers of waterfalls over rocks and a great place to take amazing photos. Other popular waterfalls include Tibumana Waterfall, Tegenungan Waterfall, and Tukad Cepung Waterfall.

Ubud is home to some of the most unique temples. The most famous temple is the Puri Saren Agung also known as the Ubud Royal Palace. Another great temple to see is the Saraswati Temple located in the center of Ubud, this temple is specifically known for its wall patterns and carvings.

And don’t forget to check out the Ubud Market. This unique market sells items like artwork, paintings, clothing, souvenirs, Bali’s famous purses, and much more.

Where To Stay In Ubud

There are so many great places to stay while visiting Ubud. Here are some top recommendations. Sakti Garden Resort & Spa is a great resort that gives a luxurious atmosphere while here. This resort has a swimming pool, bar, and room service and is located very close to the city center. Another great place to stay is the Royal Kamuela Villas & Suites at Monkey Forest Ubud. This stunning villa is a short walk from the famous monkey forest. It has villas that have a semi-open concept and lead to beautiful gardens and a pool. Such a relaxing place to stay.

Day 4: Canggu

Canggu is a relaxed beach/ surfer town and is a very popular place to visit when in Bali. It is known for its amazing cafes, yoga studios, restaurants, and shopping. Great location for digital nomads while staying in Bali.

While here be sure to check out the wonderful beaches, and try some surfing. The 5 main beaches in Canggu are Batu Bolong Beach, Berawa Beach, Pererenan Beach, Nelayan Beach, and Echo Beach. Also, be sure to check the fresh markets and beachfront patios for delicious food and drinks. Another great thing to do in Canggu is do some yoga in the relaxed atmosphere.

Where To Stay In Canggu

There are many great places to stay here in Canggu including hotels, villas, rentals, and more. A very popular villa to stay at is the Sunny Village Berawa. This stunning villa is located just 700m from Berawa Beach and 700m from Nelayan Beach. It has an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, and an on-site lounge.

Umalas Suites Hotel is another great option when staying in Canggu, this hotel also has an amazing pool and other amenities.

The Bohemian Bali is another great apartment/ hotel to stay at while here. It is especially popular for couples traveling to Bali. It is close to Batu Bolong Beach and has a tv with streaming available, a seating area, a kitchenette, and a la carte and continental breakfast options.

My favorite place to stay while traveling through Bali is the villas since they are very budget-friendly and give you the true experience of living in Bali.

Day 5: Seminyak

Seminyak is a luxury beach resort where you can enjoy the beaches, beautiful places to stay, and higher-end shopping. Seminyak is very close to Canggu and has a very similar beach landscape. While here check out the wonderful beach, restaurants and bars, art galleries, and amazing shopping. Seminyak is more of a luxury spot for those looking to do some shopping, also this area is known for its amazing nightlife.

Where To Stay In Seminyak

Seminyak has well-known hotels here like Marriott and Sheraton, but here I would recommend staying in a luxury resort instead since they are unique to Bali and will give you the true Bali experience. Tonys Villas & Resort Seminyak is a great place to stay. This luxurious hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has a spa, an outdoor pool, and so much more. Another great place to stay while in Seminyak is the Mayaloka Villas. This villa is secluded amongst gardens with a pool and lots of other amenities and is a very short walk to the beach, definitely a fan favorite.

Days 6-7: Uluwatu

Uluwatu is located in the south of Bali. This little town has arguably some of the best beaches in Bali. It is ideal, especially for surfers who come to surf here from all over the world. Uluwatu is a very relaxing place to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches by day and explore the fun party side at night.

There are so many things to see and do in Uluwatu, so why not begin by heading to Thomas Beach and enjoying some food and drinks on the stunning quiet beach? Another favorite beach is Dreamland Beach which offers beautiful blue waters and one-of-a-kind beach clubs.

Another great thing to see is the Uluwatu Cliff also known as the Karang Boms Cliff. It is a 70-meter cliff that drops straight into the ocean. This is a beautiful place to get some amazing photos. This cliff also has the Uluwatu Temple which offers beautiful views. Also while here be sure to check out the Kecak Fire Dance. This dance takes place at sunset in the Uluwatu Temple Complex amphitheater. This fire dance is a traditional dance performance you will only see in Bali and it tells stories through music and dance. Very cool to see!

Check out the Balangan Viewpoint which offers panoramic views of Balangan Beach and is also another great place to get some memorable photos. Another must-see beach in Uluwatu is Suluban Beach. This amazing beach has a shipwreck located between rocks and coves.

Where To Stay In Uluwatu

Hidden Hills Villas – Small Luxury Hotels of The World is such a great place to stay in Uluwatu. This villa overlooks the Indian Ocean, a 5-minute drive from Padang-Padang Beach, and each villa is surrounded by gardens and beautiful views. Another great accommodation option is The Edge Bali. This amazing villa complex has luxurious rooms, a world-class spa, a fitness center, and stunning views of the ocean.

Days 8-10: Nusa Islands

Nusa Islands are located near the South Eastern island of Bali. Although not technically part of Bali they are very close and worth visiting. Nusa Islands actually contains 3 islands: Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan. These one-of-a-kind islands have white sandy beaches, with crystal clear water and are breathtaking to see. The perfect way to end your 10-day Bali itinerary, just relaxing and enjoying the Nusa Islands.

Where To Stay In The Nusa Islands

One of my favorite places to stay in the Nusa Islands is located in the Nusa Penida area. Penida Bambu Green Suites is an amazing guest house that has beautiful mountain and pool views. Great for a couple traveling and looking for a one-of-a-kind place to stay.

Another great place to stay on Nusa Islands is Atalaya Villas Nusa Penida Resort. This resort is within walking distance from Crystal Bay Beach and is also located close to Pandan Beach, and Gamat Bay Beach. Also, a short car ride from Seganing Waterfall It has an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace with a beautiful garden, and a restaurant and bar on location.
