10-Day Amalfi Coast Itinerary

How Many Days On the Amalfi Coast is enough?

The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful part of Southern Italy. There are so many different places to stay and so many wonderful and unique things to see. Depending on how much you want to see will determine how long you should stay. About 1-2 days is plenty of time to visit and explore each town. You could shorten the days in each town and make this a 7-day Amalfi Coast itinerary, or an Amalfi Coast itinerary of 5 days, etc. In my opinion, 10 days is the perfect amount of time to explore Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

When To Visit The Amalfi Coast?

The best time to visit the Amalfi Coast is in the summer months from May to September. If you visit the Amalfi Coast in these months it is their busy tourist season and everything will be open for you to enjoy. The beaches may be packed during these months which is why I recommend going to the Amalfi Coast right in May at the beginning of the season or September near the end of the season. The summer months of July and August are the busiest and expect the beaches to be full for most of the day.

What To Pack For The Amalfi Coast?

The Amalfi Coast in Italy is fairly warm and you would want to pack summer clothing when visiting. The temperature from May to September is usually around 68 degrees Fahrenheit to 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bring shorts, light pants, T-shirts, tank tops, light sweaters for nighttime, and comfortable shoes for walking. Also, bring sandals and bathing suits for the beach.

Take a look at this must-have travel essentials list to make sure you have everything.

If you are planning on traveling with only a carry on then this post on How To Pack For 2 Weeks In A Carry On is a game changer and the best packing list.
